Percolate was an open air, one day house, disco and techno music festival on the Three Mills Green site in Lee Valley Regional Park and it proved to be an all-out success, attracting just over 3,000 event goers.
The event was the first such festival to be run on the Three Mills site. It had many DJs across two stages, plus quirky pop-up catering outlets, several bars (including Frontier beer containers), a chill-out tree land area and a Percolate Hollywood style sign to light up the proceedings. The event successfully attracted a mixed audience demographic, from both young and old, and had a great ‘party’ feel atmosphere.
The role for RDHS Ltd was to provide assurance to the Lee Valley Regional Park Authority (LVRPA) and to support the event promoters ensuring the event ran in a smooth and safe manner. Our staff supported the development of essential event documentation, such as an Event Management Plan and relevant risk assessments, undertaking site visits and inspections throughout the build phase and completing pre-event checks on the day. Once the necessary sign off documentation had been collected, we then monitored the event alongside LVRPA Event staff and the promoters.
Due to the success of Percolate, it is expected that further such music events will be held in the park. RDHS will continue to work with the brilliant team at LVRPA to help ensure that good practice and lessons learnt are taken forward and applied.
