Hamish joined us as a Health and Event Safety Consultant in October 2017, prior to this role he amassed over 12 years’ experience working in a number of industries and sectors including leisure, outdoor education and major event; including London 2012 Olympics.
Hamish has extensive experience of managing large scale facilities and undertaking senior leadership roles within SME organisations. Most recently Hamish has been a Senior General Manager for a regional Leisure Trust, managing the operational delivery of multiple leisure services across Devon and Dorset while also undertaking the role of Health and Safety lead for the entire organisation.
This followed a role as Operations Director for an Outdoor Education Charity which operated Outdoor Centres across the UK delivering courses and programmes for over 40,000 children a year as well as mass participation fundraising events and facility development projects. Hamish also oversaw Health and Safety Management for the organisation across the education, facilities and operations functions.
During London 2012 Hamish was a Venue Operations Manager for the Olympic Park Common Domain; developing concepts and proposals through to games-time operational policies and procedures. As part of this he worked with key partners such as NBC, Samsung and Coca Cola on their Park activations as well as with British Airways to deliver their ‘Park Live’ big screen activation in the heart of the Olympic Park.
Prior to this he worked for a national leisure operator across many of their London leisure centres, most specifically in as a member of the management team at Crystal Palace National Sports Centre. Here Hamish was the Operations Manager overseeing day to day service as well as events management for clients such as UK Athletics, London Youth Games, NBA Europe and British Handball.
Within both of Hamish’s most recent roles he has undertaken fundamental reviews of operational delivery structures and the Health and Safety Management Systems in order to improve the safety culture and effectiveness of the service teams. He joins RDHS Ltd with a real breadth of experience and knowledge to help us continue supporting our clients and developing the business
